The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited national park in the country, and in our opinion the Fall is the best time to visit them.
The changing colors, the wildlife — nothing compares to the sheer natural beauty of the Smokies. Here are a few ideas for your trip to the area this season:
Our friends at Wears Valley Ziplines offer some of the longest and highest zip lines in the region, including an “extreme line,” which measures 2000’ long and 275’ high line.
You’ll enjoy gorgeous views of Mount LeConte and the Smoky Mountains as you zoom through their 43 private acres of unspoiled and fully forested land.
We’re excited to offer special combo deals with Wears Valley Zipline — it’s the perfect compliment to your white water rafting adventure!

The Smoky Mountains is world-renowned for its hiking trails, and the changing colors of the fall make each trail a beautiful and unique experience. One of our favorites is the Big Creek Trail, which includes a wonderful swimming hole known as Midnight Hole.
Our guides are experts on the area, so be sure to ask them about some of their favorite spots!
Other popular trails include Rainbow Falls, Chimney Tops, and Alum Cave Bluffs.
During the Fall, we no longer offer “guaranteed rafting days,” but there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy the river! The water levels change daily (everything from calm, flat waters to Class III-IV rapids), and we typically offer trips 7 days a week.
