Spring Break 2023 Is Coming Up — Go White Water Rafting This Year!

January 18, 2023

Now that the holiday season has officially ended, travelers and adventure-seekers from all over the country have set their sights on Spring Break 2023. Over the next couple months, millions of Americans will migrate to warmer, more interesting parts of the world — taking a much-needed break from the day-to-day grind of work, school, and everyday life. In fact, the Chicago Tribune estimates that more than half of all U.S. college students plan on traveling this Spring.

An increasingly popular destination for Spring Break is Gatlinburg, Tennessee, an area which has rebounded remarkably since the recent wildfires. The city features a number of natural and man-made attractions, including Dollywood, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and Ober Gatlinburg, the only ski resort in the state of Tennessee. But perhaps the greatest draw for the area is its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, America’s most popular national park.

Looking to explore the Smokies this Spring Break? Try white water rafting. The Smoky Mountains are home to over 2,100 miles of rushing mountain streams and rivers, offering rafters a scenic and exhilarating tour through the sprawling landscape.

Outdoor Rafting Adventures is located in Hartford, Tennessee, just a quick 25-mile drive from the heart of Gatlinburg. Our office is situated on the Pigeon River, which offers several Class III-IV white water rapids.

Remember: if you’re in the Gatlinburg or Smoky Mountains area this Spring Break, no trip to the Smokies is complete without a white water rafting adventure. And with trips starting at just under $39 , it’s the most fun and affordable way to explore the Smoky Mountains.
