Spring Break 2016: Do something different this year

April 13, 2016

There’s a reason we all take a short break in the Spring. It’s the season of new life and new possibilities — the season of recharging, rejuvenating and reawakening ourselves. For this reason, schools at every level (kindergarten to postgraduate) offer 1-2 weeks for their students to take advantage of this period of great change and transition. College students, not surprisingly, have embraced this opportunity with characteristic immoderation. In fact, students in Florida and Texas alone spend over $1 billion for Spring Break every year.

If you’ve already taken your Spring Break, we hope you enjoyed your time off. If not, consider spending some time at the Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s not your typical Spring Break destination, but we can tell you this for certain: we don’t have sharks or sand or lifeguards, but we do have some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet. For this reason, in 2015 no national park was visited more than the Smokies.

The surrounding areas of Gatlinburg (increasingly popular among college students) has plenty of things to do during the day — shopping, eating, hiking, and even ziplining. But the number one attraction, year in and year out, is whitewater rafting. At Outdoor Adventures, we’re proud to offer a safe, affordable, and fun way to both get away and get in touch with the world.

Wanna make your own outdoor adventure? Whether you’re a college student or a regular ol’ adult looking for a quick getaway, use promo code ‘springsocial’ (good through 4/31) when booking to receive a $13 discount per rafter. It’s our way of saying thanks for spending some of your Spring Break with us.
