Do something different: Why your group should go rafting!

March 10, 2016

Families are always looking for things to do together. Bowling, movies, or even just going out to eat — we’re all looking for an activity through which we have fun and become closer as a group. Larger groups like churches, companies, and schools also need these kinds of bonding experiences. If you want to try something a little different this Spring, we recommend you give white water rafting a try.

Here are just a few reasons why your group should spend some time outside:

It brings people together. Aristotle once wrote, “men cannot know each other until they have eaten salt together.” In other words, groups strengthen and grow through exciting experiences, specifically those experiences that force you outside your comfort zone. Rafting will challenge you and awaken your spirits. (It’s also worth mentioning that we have rafting trips available for non swimmers and small children.)

It’s less expensive than you probably think. For the price of a couple movie tickets, you can spend hours rafting down beautiful Pigeon River on the edge of the Smoky Mountains. This Spring, we want to make it even cheaper for you and your group: use the promo code ‘springsocial’ at checkout to receive $13 off each person.

It’s genuinely fun. Few things knock the dust off the soul like white water rafting. Kyle B, a customer who visited us last October wrote, “If you want to do something that gets your adrenaline pumping, then Outdoor Adventures is for you.” For more firsthand accounts from previous customers, take a look at our TripAdvisor page.
